EVENT MARKETING
Consumer Technology Association
Proving ground for breakthrough technologies and global innovators with the most influential tech event in the world.
Challenges
CES® is the leading global event for the technology industry and the most influential tech event in the world. CES® is owned and produced by the Consumer Technology Association (CTA)®.
For CES 2023 – the first live and in-person 'comeback' show without the looming impacts of COVID-19 – CTA recognized the need for a transformation. The challenge was to host a successful in-person event after prioritizing a digital experience throughout the pandemic. CES was faced with numerous challenges, mainly due to changed attendee preferences, the need to fine-tune business models, and adaptation to the health and safety measures in place at the moment. CTA had several criteria to meet, and THuS Marketing was just the right fit.
Solutions
The THuS Marketing team provided in-depth marketing events planning, coordination, and execution to streamline the insurmountable efforts required to launch the various events hosted by CTA. Our firm became an extension of the association's marketing team, providing strategic methodologies and functioning as a project manager liaising between the organization's internal departments and managing external vendors.
With our assistance, CES brought together more than 3,200 exhibitors and nearly 120,000 attendees for the world's most inspiring showcase of incredible innovation and new technology. We helped to make headlines, supported business connections, and laid the groundwork for future collaborations.
Results
CES shattered expected attendance drawing over 115,000 industry professionals – marking the largest audited global tech event since early 2020. CES 2023 showcased the next era of innovation from digital health, sustainability, the metaverse, and beyond.
“CES 2023 was the great reconnection and rocked by every measure - from attendance to the keynote stage to press conferences and product debuts on the exhibit floor – showing the entire world that in-person events are BACK!” said Gary Shapiro, President and CEO, CTA. “The innovation unveiled this week will drive economic growth and change in meaningful ways to improve our lives and create a better future for the next generation.”
